Musical Sampling – Boutique Drums: Jolene

Jolene is the second release in our Boutique Drums series . While Ruby is all about the heavy stuff, Jolene is all about the atmosphere, which works great for indie, alternative, country and pop.

As always, we’ve included a collection of ready-to-mix presets suitable for a variety of musical contexts, from the soft, intimate punch of ‘Sunshine’ to the solid and inviting ‘Lola’.

We’ve included five different hi-hat states and live 8-note grooves that automatically adjust to the tempo of your DAW: closed, normal, slightly open, half-open and fully open; grooves are recorded at 90/120/140 bpm.

Crossfade hi-hat grooves with release triggers? Easy. When the mod wheel is down, it plays a loop with the hi-hat closed. When you lift the mod wheel, it opens the hi-hat. And it’s awesome!
