The PSP Datamix A567 models the EQ module from the classic first generation Datamix console. Officially endorsed and approved by Eddie Kramer, who recorded legendary bands like Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, KISS and more on the original Datamix consoles during the golden era of The Record Plant and Electric Lady studios, the plug-in captures the essence of that iconic sound. The equalizer is designed in such a way that it almost never sounds “neutral” – just placing it on a track as is, with all the bands in the “0” positions, is enough to make you love it or hate it. Even with all the bands off, there is still plenty of sonic character coming from the preamp and output sections. The PSP Datamix A567 is a great way to add some old school flair and character to any track or mix.

Possibilities

• Three equalization bands: low (peak boost, peak or smooth cut depending on frequency), mid (peak boost and notch type cut) and high (peak boost, smooth cut).
  
• Dual FAT Sampling: In the PSP Datamix A567, FAT is automatically enabled for low (below 50 kHz) sample rates
  and disabled for higher sample rates. This ensures accurate processing regardless of sample rate.
  
• 64-bit double-precision floating point math for ultra-low cumulative filter errors
  and consistent filter performance across the entire frequency spectrum.
  
• Modeling of the preamplifier section at the input.
  
• Output section with transformer emulation.
  
• Change the character of the sound by selecting the setting of a specific channel, middle
  
• A setting or “ideal” setting that matches the exact frequencies on the label knob.
  
• Adjustable left/right channel tuning range.
  
• Alt Q mode allows you to achieve a softer effect by fixing the Q for each band regardless of the selected frequency.
  
• Sharp mode adds pronounced resonance in the high frequency range.
  
• All actual parameter values such as gain and frequency may differ from the displayed values.
