An unusual string instrument

We teamed up with our luthier (a master string maker) and designed an instrument from scratch in search of new sounds, timbres and possibilities for sonic expression. We created the C i r c l e S t r i n g s .

The C i r c l e S t r i n g s is an unusual instrument that can produce sound in all sorts of ways: by bowing or plucking the strings, by striking the instrument, and so on. Anything is possible. The secret is in the resonance of its sympathetic body.

It all started when we decided that finding new sounds was the way to success. We called our luthier and designed an instrument designed for experimentation. After months of trial and error, it was ready, and since no one had done it before, we decided to capture its sound from every possible angle and microphone. Contact, overhead, close, directional, dynamic, down-firing, and even internal mics. After countless hours of sampling, editing, and programming, we got a beautiful library designed to enrich your compositions with new sonic colors and resonant adventures!

To expand the functionality of C i r c l e S t r i n g s , we also recorded dozens of sound effects, equipped the library with a feature-rich interface, including an effects panel and the latest version of Chaos FX , and created presets to give you examples of what can be achieved! Finally, we used the superstring method to create long loops that can be used to enrich the sound organically!
