8Dio – EverWave

Continuing our experimental journey into custom instruments, we have another gem that will fulfill your unusual musical desires: the EverWave .

After months of design and almost a year of development, our luthier presented us with this magnificent masterpiece. EverWave is a unique instrument weighing over 45 kg, which required a lot of passion and preparation. It was built from scratch and then brought to our studio, where we installed microphones on all sides. The result is a stunning library that sounds absolutely unique.

EverWave was recorded using all sorts of techniques. Because of the complexity of the instrument, we decided to sample it until it broke, which is what happened.

Each note required almost 30 minutes of tuning, and at some point the pressure became so strong that the instrument broke! However, the result is an absolute delight for the listener. You will feel like you are transported to other worlds, because this instrument fits perfectly into both an epic composition and a soft atmosphere.

After recording, we created a huge number of multi-velocity loops. Over 40 GB of content, compressed to 18 GB losslessly, characterize this instrument as a new era of sampling, where we are looking for new boundaries of sound.
