Session Strings 2 is based on high-quality recordings of a small contemporary ensemble – vintage instruments in the hands of top session musicians and recorded in a renowned German studio. The ensemble consists of four violins, three violas, two cellos and two double basses.

Bring your string arrangements to life: Session Strings 2 lets you shape notes and phrases with 14 articulations, from accents, pizzicato, and crescendos to legato and portamento.

Playback Support Features

Session Strings 2 includes many user-requested playback support features accessible through a modern user interface.

• True Legato. Use true legato or portamento. Each interval has its own proper transition
• Smart Voice Split. Make chords sound natural with notes automatically assigned to the right instrument group
• Smart Chord. Generate fully orchestrated ensemble chords from individual keys
• Rhythm Animator. Add movement to chords with the Rhythm Animator, an arpeggiator with assignable articulations, chords, and note parameters for each step
• Color. Transform the sound of an ensemble with the turn of a single knob, using the capabilities of a powerful master multi-effect
