Tonality – Wes Borland

Amp 1 is based on the Roland© JC-120™ Jazz Chorus. This two-input channel with a three-band EQ has become the iconic “king of clean” guitar amps thanks to its signature clean and transparent tone. This combo amp is a staple of Wes Borland’s live rig, often adorned with various speaker grille designs.

The Amp 2 is based on the Diezel© VH4™. This four-channel, 100-watt amplifier is incredibly versatile, allowing you to achieve virtually any tone thanks to four preamps with individual gain, EQ, and master controls. This amp was at the heart of much of Limp Bizkit’s heavy sound in the early 2000s.

The Amp 3 is based on a 1965 Selmer© Zodiac™ 50 MKII Tremolo. This two-channel amp has the distinctive chime and rich breakdown typical of vintage British combo amps, but thanks to Selmer©’s unique tone selection system, this ingenious circuit gives the amp its own distinctive, complex tonal character.

Tonality is a versatile guitar plugin suite developed exclusively around producer Lasse Lammert’s signature sounds. This plugin features his favorite pedals, amps, and cabinets. Developed by STL Tones & Lammert, this plugin is designed to capture all the nuances that make his guitar sound so unique.

The Driftwood Purple Nightmare Amp 1

Amp 1 is a two-channel, 100-watt guitar amp powered by a 6L6 amplifier. The Driftwood offers both clean and distorted sound modes, and features a built-in distortion pedal with mode and gain switches. The Purple Nightmare is capable of everything from driving rock to high-gain metal.

Amp 2

Amp 2 is based on the Diezel™ Herbert™ – a monstrous 180-watt, Swiss Army knife-like amplifier designed for all genres. The Herbert™ also features a split midrange filter with gain compensation, providing additional detail when shaping the tone. An incredibly versatile modern classic.

Amp 3

Amp 3 is based on the Marshall™ JCM800™ 2203. This 100-watt monster has been a mainstay of rock and metal since its introduction in 1981. It features a single channel with an instantly recognizable British sound. Lasse’s own amp is the original 1981 version, featuring Siemens and RFT NOS tubes, and is completely standard, save for the legendary Tones Hot Mod module.

Lasse Lammert comes with four cabinets, captured with absolute precision by Lasse in his studio in Germany. The Brit 12GM is a decidedly vintage cabinet. It handles everything from slightly fragmented tones to vintage thrash superbly. The oversized Cali Rect V30 is the absolute ideal for sophisticated modern sound. 

With a clean yet powerful low end, the speakers have a smooth character, delivering a controlled and finished sound. The Eagle Pro VSB is the benchmark for aggressive modern sound. 

It boasts a very focused midrange that cuts through the mix with ease. The Gasoline 412 has a modern, aggressive sound, but with a darker tone and more low end. These speakers add new character for a less controlled sound, suitable for older metal.

Josh Middleton is a British guitarist and producer. He is best known for playing guitar in the bands Architects and Sylosis.

Tonality is a versatile guitar plugin suite developed exclusively around the signature sounds of guitarist and producer Josh Middleton. This plugin features Middleton’s favorite pedals, amps, and cabinets. Developed by STL Tones and Josh himself, the Josh Middleton plugin is designed to capture all the sonic nuances that make his guitar sound so unique.

Amp 1 is based on Josh’s personal Peavey© 5150™ Block Letter amplifier. This dual-channel, 120-watt, all-tube amp is renowned for its high-gain overdrive channel and has become a firm favorite among hard rock and metal guitarists since its release in 1992.

The Amp 2 is based on the Peavey© XXX™ amplifier. This three-channel, 120-watt, high-gain amplifier boasts exceptional versatility. It features independent volume controls for each of the three channels (Ultra, Crunch, and Clean), as well as a three-position “Damping” switch, which adjusts the amplifier’s ability to control speaker cone movement after signal loss.

The Amp 3 is based on the Mesa Boogie© Dual Rectifier© Multi-Watt™. This three-channel, 100-watt amplifier is capable of achieving any tone and musical style thanks to unique CLEAN and PUSHED modes on channel one, as well as RAW, VINTAGE, and MODERN modes on channels two and three. Touted as the ultimate Dual Rectifier©, this amp has become an icon of heavy music.
