Velo’s complete density control

uses a vast network of delays, controlled via a node-based graphical editor, allowing you to fully customize the density specific to your space. Start with a short initial period of discrete early delays, which build up to a super-dense, smooth sky tail for the best spatial imagery.

Or go crazy and start with 5000 clicks with the delay reduced to single pulses for a unique special effect. Simulate the characteristics of other well-known reverbs using the same frequency as your favorite classical hall or drum room. Use a low density setting to create a super-strong, clean, and intelligible vocal reverb that permeates any mix. The choice is yours.

Node-based attenuation

The Vela decay system eliminates the feedback network limitations of most algorithmic reverbs and gives you the same node-based graph for full editing of the decay shape.

Easily set up short decays or gates, or simulate any possible non-linear tail shape.Go crazy with reverse reverb or a pulsating sawtooth tail. Let your imagination run wild!

Add depth with early reflections

Early reflections are key to how reverberation conveys the sense of space to the human auditory system. This initial series of discrete, delayed clicks is fundamental to the character of space.

In Vela, we’ve implemented a fully customizable ER system with presets analyzed from a variety of real-world spaces, as well as classic and modern algorithmic reverbs.

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can also dive in and create your own compositions using user-editable presets. Early reflections can be used in the final diffusion system and filter, giving you maximum control over their sound.

Improve your sound with filters and equalizer

VELA features pre- and post-EQ sections that give you complete control over the tonality of your sound.

Node-based attenuation filter

The node-based filter graph allows you to fine-tune the decay of the attenuation over time, allowing you to truly customize the absorption characteristics of a space.

Clear mixes with Ducking

Vela’s Dive System allows you to fine-tune how your reverb interacts with the incoming signal… Perfect for vocals when you want your vocals to sound clear, but have the Vela reverb follow suit.

Smooth it out with a De-esser

Velas’ de-essing system removes any annoying hiss before it reaches reverb, creating lush, smooth tails without the unwanted sibilance that can occur with vocal tracks.

Increase space with diffusion

While the latter part of the Velas reverb may be perfectly diffusion-based, we love the sound of classic algorithmic reverbs with extended diffusion networks.

The Velas diffusion network serves two key functions: it smooths out any discrete reflections in low-density late sections or smooths out early reflections, and it adds additional stereo space.

The set includes more than 200 presets

VELA comes with 200 presets, including some that simulate some of the most famous and classic reverbs. You can mark your favorites and create your own.

Full modulation control

Our modulation parameters allow you to further enhance your sound quality. We give you complete control over the number of modulation channels, modulation speed, and modulation volume.
