Blur analyzes the frequencies of live audio and applies a set of four spectral filters to the signal. Use it to add atmosphere to a looped sound, make vocals sound like a synthesizer, create unique textures, or move the sound farther away from the source.
Four ways of texturing
- Resynthesize extracts the most powerful tones from a sound and recreates them, turning any input signal into a synthesizer.
- Spread blurs the sound over time, softening transients and turning them into a hazy, reverb-like blur.
- Freeze freezes the sound spectrum, allowing it to persist and resonate longer.
- Contrast boosts dominant frequencies and suppresses quieter ones, introducing spectral artifacts and making the sound less clear.
