About the Instrument

With Alternative Woodwind Soloists, we sought out instruments rarely found in larger orchestral libraries, chosen for their airy, breathy character. This easy-to-use ensemble library brings those sounds together in one place, with all mic positions and both short and sustained articulations.

Featuring alto flute, bass flute, bass clarinet, and tenor recorder, the ensemble is remarkably versatile. Its instruments carry traditions stretching from the Baroque to the modern Romantic, and they’re ripe for experimentation, whether you’re writing something classic or shaping entirely new sounds.

The Interface

• Dynamics – Control the dynamic layers via the mod wheel/ CC1.
• Colour – EQ effect to change the brightness of the overall. sound.
• Stereo Width – Controls the stereo widening effect, turn clockwise to widen the signal, turn fully anticlockwise for a mono signal.
• Reverb – Control the level of reverb with further settings if you click on the cog.
• Mic Mix – Control the amount of close, mid and far mics. Mute [M], Solo [S], and Purge [⏻] the raw layer and individual Atmosphere Layers from memory. Blend between a close and far mix.
• Sample Start –Increase the sample start time to reduce latency. Decrease the sample start time for more realism. The latency above is the correct number for the use of negative delay (pre-delay) in your DAW MIDI settings.
• Dynamic Response – Control how much the volume of the instrument is affected by the dynamics modulation.
