Having a collection of vintage gear in the studio is nice and inspiring, but unfortunately it’s also time consuming and expensive. SounDevice studio owner Boris Karloff knows this very well, as he has been collecting vintage equipment for over 20 years: “Something always doesn’t work. From tubes to spiky pots, from counters to noisy caps. And these devices are so rare that you can hardly someday you’ll be able to use them on multiple channels at the same time.” To avoid these limitations, we were inspired to create a solution that included the best of these devices in one plugin. The result is a single channel.
