Cabinet and Speaker Type
The 412 RECT Essentials wave audio format impulse response library is based on measurement data from and seeking to recreate the sound of a MESA/Boogie® Rectifier® Standard (Oversized) 4×12 closed back cabinet loaded with 2003 Celestion® T4335 Vintage 30 speakers.
This particular combination – largely the result of the unique tonality for this narrow space in time of this speaker model’s production – results in a sound that is full yet tight in the lows, authoritative and forward in the mids, and smooth on top, with just enough bite to cut through a dense modern mix when paired with the right mic/mix selection.
The lack of overly whomping low end and harsh high end makes this file set incredibly versatile, and useful for a multitude of styles and applications.
Feature Set
10 single mics (7B – 57 – 58 – 87 – 121 – 160 – 414 – 421 – 441 – 906)

MIXES
Mix files consist of combining two or more individual microphone IR’s to blend their unique characters and sounds together. These files are named based on a description of their inherent tonality, their most common application, or technique of origin. Specifics on their build components will not be disclosed, and it is recommended to simply try them out, see how they sound, and discover how they pair with your source towards your desired result.
Mix files are sectioned off in three main areas for organizational purposes, which are:
Core Mixes
Core mix files represent a shortlist or “quick start” of 10 main flavors of sound, and are found in the main cabinet folder alongside the individual mic files. These files have been OwnHammer and user favorites enjoyed by countless guitarists and engineers for a plethora of platforms and applications for many, many years.
(r)Evolution Mixes
With some small changes to a few file names and the addition of some new mixes sure to please, these mix files pull from OwnHammer’s most popular impulse response library prior to the Essentials Series release.
Mic Pair Mixes
Within the Mic Pair Mixes subfolder are 10 additional folders, named by the primary mic in the pairing. For Mic Pair Mixes, the first mic in the filename (and from which folder it can be found) is dominant, or louder, in the mix.
