This part focuses on the creation of the song “Dancing With a Stranger”, the 2019 chart-topping single performed by Sam Smith and Normani. Thor and Mikkel recount their acquaintance with Sam and their history of working together, and then explain how they took the “less secure” approach to writing this song. The duo walk you through a multitrack session to explain how the parts were formed, revealing the synth patches, drum samples, and plug-in settings used to create the sound of the recording.
