Our 3D Surround libraries are recorded with the well-known Schoeps ORTF-3D, which is a cuboid 8-channel ambience system with level and time differences. The main advantage is the additional top layer compared to conventional surround sound recording setups. The system consists of 8 supercardioid microphones.

The upper layer offers a much wider range of spatial sound effects and more realistic three-dimensional reproduction. Thus, it provides a clearer idea of ​​the depth of space, a more natural sense of the surrounding space, improved enveloping ability and an authentic feeling.
