From massive Reeses to lush, liquid pads, HALO 2 offers over 430 meticulously crafted presets and 300 sample banks, plus a range of available expansions and more. Each sample bank has been painstakingly crafted by DHPlugins using a range of hardware and software synths, effects and processing, then layered with HALO’s built-in synths, pristine filters, effects and unique modulators to create complex, raw, high-quality, playable and malleable sounds across a vast sonic palette.

The combination of samples and synthesis allows you to create a huge amount of sound with unprecedented weight, clarity, definition, width and grain. With over 300 sample banks to choose from, a new sample and synth engine, 4 multifilters, 3 modulators, 4 FX units, 4 distortions, an Audio FM engine and an assignable arpeggiator, HALO is a unique creative sandbox. The random preset generator makes it super easy to create unique presets, with localized random buttons assigned to all modulators, waveform generator, sample banks and arpeggiator.

ARPEGIATOR FOR YOUR SOUND

The assignable built-in arpeggiator takes HALO 2 to a whole new level of sound creation. With the random melody generator, simply select a scale and hit the random button to effortlessly create new and unique melodies, riffs or progressions. The arpeggiator can be assigned to any combination of sampler, subwoofer or synth, allowing users to arpeggiate their own samples on the synth layer, or vice versa. HALO 2 can play almost an entire song on its own. With its own preset browser, users can save and recall their own arp settings or browse HALO’s existing library of over 30 presets and scales.

SAMPLE FM, DISTORT, CRUSH, DISTORT!

One of the best updates to HALO 2 is the Sampler FM engine… This unique functionality allows you to modulate any sample bank or user sample with a synth (square and triangle waveforms), a factory sample bank, or even another user sample file, allowing for either subtle modulations or complete distortion of audio files! Combined with a choice of four distortion modes (Warm Saturation, Amp Style Drive, Customisable Waveshaper, Crush), as well as a Synth FM engine and improved sample bank editing including loop point manipulation, HALO 2 takes its core sound design potential to the next level.
