Thumb Piano is a dry recording of a characterful Kalimba, enhanced with three of our signature Atmosphere Layers to add depth, texture, and cinematic charm. Each layer is designed to complement the instrument’s natural resonance, allowing you to create rich, evolving soundscapes or subtle, meditative textures with ease.

The library’s layout mirrors that of some of the tuned percussion instruments from our Zen: Meditations collection, making it instantly familiar to users of that library while providing a gateway to explore its broader palette.

The Interface

• Color . EQ effect to change the brightness of the overall sound.
• Stereo Width . Controls the stereo widening effect, turn clockwise to widen the signal, turn fully anticlockwise for a mono signal.
• Damping . Dampen the release of the played sample.
• Reverb . Controls the stereo widening effect, turn clockwise to widen the signal, turn fully anticlockwise for a mono signal.
• Velocity Response . Control how much the volume of the instrument is controlled by the velocity input of your MIDI device.
