Kinematic Composer Cello is a collection of organic cellos combined with a carefully curated selection of inspiring analogue pads for Kontakt. The library was created using the mesmerising musicality of one of the UK’s leading session cellists, Liz Hanks (Richard Hawley, Self Esteem, Pulp, Liam Gallagher).
The instrument is based on 3,762 carefully crafted samples recorded in the renowned 150 m² Kinema Audio Studio 1.
The instrument also includes 9 additional analog pads designed to highlight and support your cello compositions.
All patches have 3 adjustable microphone positions: Center, Stereo and Room. The analog pads also have multiple microphones with Dry, Room and Verb controls.
A signal chain including Flea, Coles and Neumann microphones, Neve preamps and a Prism converter was used to record a vintage Lees cello, an instrument made by Thomas Smith at Harp and Hautboy in London in 1765.
Kinematic Composer Cello is the first Kinematic instrument for Kontakt from Sam Brown (of PaperStone Instruments).
