Axe Machina is a powerful virtual electric guitar library designed for pure metal destruction, featuring Craig Peters’ custom Kiesel Aries 7-string . The instrument features 24 frets, a swamp ash body, a Birdeye maple neck, Guitarmory Polaris pickups and D’Addario XL 10-64 strings. 

The swamp ash body has a unique style and tone, as well as a natural tone and resonance. The guitar is tuned in standard A. It offers open and muted notes and chords, harmonics, pick scratch sounds, fret sounds, filters, custom effects, and auto-strum.

We sampled individual notes and power chord sustains with muting variations. You’ll also find a wide range of sound effects such as harmonics, mutes, pick scratches (slow, medium and sustained), fret noise, chokes, rails and slides. Customise your ideal tone by routing the clean signal directly through your favourite amp sim plugins or use our own custom sound waveform generated by Neural DSP. 

The flexible, intuitive and customisable interface gives you access to real-time articulation and performance selection, key switching and mapping options, an arpeggiator, auto-strummer, sequencer and a full effects rack.

We packed the user interface with powerful sound shaping and performance controls to give you total flexibility combined with ease of performance. The Core presets contain all the samples in the library and a host of powerful playback features. The Lite presets have fewer loops and are designed for situations where using less RAM is important to you.

The DI presets contain clean guitar tones recorded directly without a preamp or other gear, giving you a clean sound ready to be amplified with the built-in effects or any other way you like. The Amped presets contain custom sounds hand-picked by Craig Peters, giving you modern, high-gain tone right out of the box. 

The Standard presets give you access to individual strings, giving you total control over the available range of each string. The Simple presets remove this option and use the standard crossover point of each string going down the scale.

The interface is completed by a modular rack panel with 27 different DSP effects modules that you can assign to any of the 8 available slots in any order you like. You’ll find classic phasers, flangers, delays, distortions, amp and cabinet simulators, compressors, EQs, rotators and more. 

The reverb effect contains our favorite convolution reverb impulse responses, including 99 different rooms, halls, chambers and environments, plus another 40 custom impulse effects to radically transform your sound and open up whole new worlds of musical possibilities. We’ve included a large selection of factory rack effects chain presets to get you started!
