Spectrasonics presents an updated version of its iconic software instrument. Compared to the previous version of the synthesizer, Omnisphere 3 features 18 new libraries. These libraries cover a wide range of contemporary musical genres, from retro electronics to soundtrack backing tracks, ambient spaces, and vibrant techno sounds. All libraries were created in-house at Spectrasonics under the supervision of sound engineer Eric Persing.
In addition, the instrument is equipped with advanced synthesis and sound manipulation capabilities. For example, the interface now features a global control screen for quickly changing any patch parameters. The synthesizer also features a mutation function, allowing you to create multiple patch variations with a single click.
The developers are devoting special attention to the expanded effects section. The instrument is equipped with 36 new filters and an imitation of an analog saturation circuit. The synthesizer also includes a function that recreates the imprecision of oscillators, a glissando effect in the style of the Yamaha CS-80, and simulating the portamento curves of vintage electronic instruments.
According to Spectrasonics, the expanded sound processing section will enable the creation of unique instruments that combine the signature elements of other devices. This allows musicians to build their dream synth by combining Moog filters with the character of Yamaha and the unique features of other synthesizers.
Another important new feature is the addition of hardware integration. Now users can not only control Omnisphere 3 with connected synthesizers or controllers, but also manage instruments within the plug-in window.
According to the company, Omnisphere supports synthesizers and MIDI controllers from “all major manufacturers.” The plugin’s memory stores over 300 preset profiles, allowing you to control your hardware devices right out of the box.
Other notable additions include the standalone Omnisphere FX plug-in, which comes bundled with the synthesizer. It allows users to utilize over 35 Omnisphere 3 effects independently of the synthesis engine. The effects are available as a rack with a separate set of settings.

Omnisphere 3 is an upgrade of Omnisphere 2. So, it ‘s backwards compatible with Omnisphere 2, meaning you can still play all the patches etc., from Omnisphere 2.

Your PC must be temporarily offline. Then, press REQUEST AUTHORIZATION. Now, look in your browser for the offline URL that opens. If you see something like &ch=, you need to copy and paste everything after the = into your keygen. Open your keygen, select Omnisphere 3, generate it, then copy and paste the license into the Omnisphere form.

Keyscape not working
This is not a valid STEAM folder error! i did everything r2r said
The big 50+ GB file contains the STEAM folder. If you did everything right and it asks you for it, it will be in the 50+ GB download. BTW, you can put the STEAM folder anywhere. Preferably in an SSD drive or better.
Place the Library files in the Omnisphere folder similar to this:- C:/Omnisphere3/STEAM/Omnisphere
If you already have version 2.8xx, you can install Omni 3 over it. Make sure the old VSTs and DLLs are removed from the plugins folder, also in C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics\plug-ins\64bit. If your old Omni2 works, the path to the STEAM folder is already known.Then replace the Omni 3 library with the old Omni 2 library. Overwrite and replace. Install the Omni 3 setup. Also install the runtime network block. Start Omni and begin the authorization process. See the instructions elsewhere on this site and in the R2R instructions.The license for Omni 3 is audio 19.dat. You can find it in the Spectrasonics folder in ProgramData. The old Omni 2 is audio16.dat.
During a fresh installation, place the Omni library in the STEAM folder. You can place the entire STEAM folder on an external drive and create a shortcut to ProgramData Spectrasonics.After installation and authorization, it’s helpful to run Omni 3 as an administrator. This is also the case when running it for the first time in your DAW. If you have problems, check for administrator rights. You’ll need to go to the STEAM folder and grant yourself full access. Click on the folder’s properties and grant yourself full access. Google it if you don’t know how. It’s beyond the scope of this article. If that doesn’t work, place the Omni library in its default location in ProgramDataSpectrasonics.Omni 3 has a diagnostic function when you start it. Click on it and check the path to your STEAM folder. Good luck with your research, and it should work if you’re methodical.

Cyclic Redundancy usually means one of two things to me 1) you ran out of space before the end of the torrent, meaning you never fully downloaded it, OR a link between the download and your computer got lost somewhere, so not all data was copied.

I have the previous omnisphere and installed this omnisphere 3 but the sounds are not playing it keeps saying the sound source not found, and it’s located in the spectrasonics folder along with all the sounds i had from previous omnisphere

Try this: There’s an index file in Omnisphere called zmap.index. You can find it in Soundsources\Factory\Core library. Make a backup of it and delete it. Start Omnisphere. Omni will now be forced to reindex the library. Also check if the path to your Steam folder is correct. You can do this by pressing the Diagnostic button when starting Omni. In the worst-case scenario, you’ll have to reinstall Omni 3. Use Revo, for example, and manually search for all remnants of Omni 3 and 2, such as DLLs and VSTs, and in your registry. Also, remove all shortcuts. Note: if you have Keyscape and Trillian, for example, you shouldn’t delete those DLLs. Install everything in the default location. If everything is OK, move the STEAM folder to a different location.
If you don’t have space and your STEAM folder is already on an external drive, Omnisphere will ask where the folder is located. Navigate to your STEAM folder. Good luck, and it should work.
You do need a clean setup, which you can do by removing all remnants.

Hey folks. I’m not getting very far. When I launch Omnisphere standalone after install, I get 2 errors:
Error: The procedure entry point InternetCheckConnectionA could not be located in the dynamic link library
C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics\plug-ins\64bit\Omnisphere.vst3
followed by
Cannot find Omnisphere DLL at:
C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics\plug-ins\64bit\Omnisphere.vst3
Omnisphere.vst3 is there in the folder.
Also Omnisphere does not appear as a plugin in my DAW. I have tried re-downloading and re-installing.
Am I missing a pre-req?
2: Go to :C:\Program Files\Spectrasonics\Omnisphere, copy the Omnisphere.exe file and paste it in :
C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics.
Thanks, but sadly that did not work.
What DID work was installing the TCD version and then the R2R version over the top. Weirdly it has so far not asked me for ANY authorization (and it was a fresh install, never had v2) – maybe that will come in time but for now the standalone and VST3 versions are working fine 🤷♂️
