Xhun Audio – LittleOne v4.0.2 for WiN & Mac

LittleOne is an accurate software emulation of one of the most legendary and popular hardware analog synthesizers, compact, but extremely powerful and expressive.

In addition to faithfully recreating the original signal path, every LittleOne component (oscillators, filters, envelopes, etc.) shares the same original architecture, frequency response, and operating range as its analog counterpart, resulting in a deep, rich, and warm sound.

Add to this a full-fledged rackmount module with a 16-step analog sequencer, a 16-step Trancegate effect, two Insert/Master effects slots, and you have a complete analog system that will fit perfectly into a modern digital studio.

Characteristics

Perfection is otherworldly. In nature, because of its inherent complexity (and beauty), everything is unpredictable and, it seems, uncontrollable. This is what makes everything so special.

This is true for everything, including musical instruments. An analog synthesizer, based on analog electronic components, embodies all the shortcomings of that technology.

That’s why it sounds so warm and rich.

The LittleOne synthesizer is built entirely on this concept. Using the Advanced Component Simulation (ACS) approach, every component within LittleOne is modeled with precision, preserving its original analog hardware architecture and physical properties, including microdefects and unique, time-varying instabilities. This means that if you play the same note repeatedly, LittleOne will never reproduce it exactly the same way, even after a million years or more. This is what nature teaches us.

You can also change the electrical tolerances for each analog component used in the synthesizer. Selecting stable components mimics modern manufacturing processes, while choosing unstable components will transport you back in time, making everything inside LittleOne behave as it did in the 1970s, making it even more daring and brutal.

This high-quality approach ensures brightness, naturalness and depth of sound.

Physical modeling of real analog equipment, achieved through the use of the Advanced Component Simulation (ACS) approach. Oscillators, filters, envelopes (etc.) are created while preserving their original architecture, with all the microinstabilities and imperfections of analog technology.

Full 64-bit precision processing for every aspect of the simulation

All-in-one setup: analog synthesizer + analog sequencer + Trancegate effect + insert/main effects

Two non-aliasing analog oscillators that reproduce the same capacitor charging/discharging characteristics as the original analog circuits, with continuous waveform morphing between triangle, sawtooth, square and pulse (including pulse width modulation)

The legendary 4-pole resonant analog ladder low-pass filter (built using a topology-preserving/delay-free feedback approach) exhibits all the original nonlinearities, frequency responses (including under extreme modulation scenarios), self-oscillation, soft limiting, and overload control.

Two 4-stage ADSRs that reproduce the charging/discharging response of capacitors, as in the original analog circuits.

Advanced modulation capabilities, including a white noise generator, sample-and-hold source, and a multi-wavelength low-frequency oscillator (LFO) with a native frequency range of 0.2 Hz to 500 Hz, enable the creation of complex frequency modulation systems.

True analog polyphony. In addition to the classic monophonic mode, polyphony (4 voices) is achieved by simulating four completely independent synthesis systems (devices), as envisioned in the original hardware expansion. Each of the four independent voices (devices) can be tuned/detuned separately for an even deeper and richer polyphonic sound.

Analogue components selector. Choose what kind of components to use inside LittleOne : select ultra-stable components, phase-locked oscillators (like in most recent analogue synthesizers) or select aged, much more unstable components and disable the phase-lock of the main oscillators

Access all the advanced features like the alternative modulation sources/destinations, set the velocity to control the filter cutoff, extend the pitch bend range, select the MIDI input channel and much more – all from the operating system led display.
