Introducing Liminal: Vocal Textures Volume 2 , our second vocal library. The articulations are expressive and evolving, with the performer bringing character and movement to each sample. The performers were recorded using large-diaphragm condenser microphones, capturing the breath and distinctive intimacy in each sample.
The library is well suited to infusing unpredictability and creative imperfection. The Liminal range is not designed for fast passages or soaring melodies. Instead, you can think of the library as a collection of naturalistic pads, offering humanistic detail not found in anything derived from synthetic sources.
Some articulations place particular emphasis on rhythm and timing, taking advantage of Kontakt’s Time Machine Pro feature.
The user interface allows you to layer, blend and reverse articulations. The new crossfade feature allows you to subtly blend layers of sound using intuitive color-coded controls. You can also enable low-frequency control, allowing your DAW’s tempo to determine the volume modulation of an individual layer. This opens the door to tempo-synced fades and even more creative possibilities for evolving textures.
