Bass guitar
Our first Motown Bass , which we dedicated to the legendary James Jamerson last year, was recorded using a Precision Bass. It quickly became clear to us that we would be recording a Höfner Bass for the second Motown Bass release .
When we noticed during the recording session that this bass sounded incredibly good, we decided to sample three different positions with 10 circular repeats and 3 velocity layers exclusively for this release. We were able to sample the Höfner Bass in the neck and bridge, which is why the sound is incredibly realistic and authentic. The result is more than impressive!
The real strength of this bass is its usability. No machine gun effect thanks to 10 circular repeats and 3 layers of velocity. The characteristic Motown Bass feel can be felt in the various articulations.
