Imagine stepping into the world of music legends, playing the same famous Rhodes instruments that created the greatest hits of the past – from Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock to Stevie Wonder, The Doors, Ray Charles, Steely Dan, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and many others.

1976 – Rhodes Mark 1 Stage 73

A true icon of the 1970s, used extensively by Rhodes legends Herbie Hancock, Patrice Rushen and Stevie Wonder, the Rhodes Stage 73 Mark 1 has been featured on countless classic and hit albums, becoming a firm favorite for studio and live musicians around the world. Whether smooth or bright (or anywhere in between), the Mark 1’s classic and timeless sound remains legendary to this day.

1965 – Sparkletop 73

The rare Sparkletop felt hammer, produced from 1965 to 1969, is instantly recognizable by its striking silver glitter cap. However, its distinctive earthy, bell-like tone has been the foundation for many groundbreaking recordings, including Miles Davis’s “In a Silent Way” and The Beatles’ “Let it Be.” The Sparkletop’s warm, shimmering sound bridges the gap between the fragility of later Rhodes models and the piercing clarity of other electric pianos of the era. Sparkletops hold a unique place in music history: they played a key role in shaping the classic Rhodes electric piano sound that defined much of the soul, jazz, and rock of the late ’60s and early ’70s.

1984 – Rhodes MKV 73

Considered by Harold Rhodes and his team to be the pinnacle of vintage Rhodes pianos, the rare and now sought-after Rhodes MKV featured a wide range of improvements in action, tone, and portability that made it a favorite among discerning Rhodes players. Chick Corea was perhaps the most famous MKV player, and used his MIDI MKV throughout the 1980s and beyond. Most notably, the MKV’s updated hammer action and optimized damper design improved the piano’s dynamic range and playability, delivering both a smooth, mellow tone and a more powerful “bark” with greater clarity and detail. The Rhodes Anthology collection features samples recorded directly from CPO Dan Goldman’s personal Rhodes MKV.

2010 – Rhodes MK7 73

The rare Rhodes MK7 model became the basis for the MKV piano, placing the Rhodes electromechanical motor in a unique-looking molded fiberglass case and adding several variants, including the classic Passive, Active (with preamp), and Active MIDI models. Notably, the MK7 was the first production Rhodes to feature a comprehensive MIDI out implementation and has a uniquely funky and dynamic character.
