Collection of creepy and dark effects

This little beast is a very, very creepy and dark collection of metallic percussion and semi-melodic effects, perfect for horror and suspense scoring, sound design, trailer effects, post production, experimental and ambient music and anything else you can think of. The origins of this strange creation will remain a mystery. 

What we can tell you is that we beat it and played it like crazy… We used bows, mallets, metal rods, rubber balls, fingers, fists, drumsticks, nylon, wire brushes, rasps and files, water and earth to coax all sorts of demonic songs out of this contraption.

We used viola bows to create eerie melodic and dissonant tones. The kit includes several types of bowed instruments including sustain, glissando, staccato, spiccato and tremolo effects. There are many different mallet, brush and finger friction effects to explore. Finger, rubber ball and flat mallet movements were created by dragging the edges of the mallets (or fingers) across the surface of the throne in long arcs and lines. This resulted in a resonant sound similar to the friction of a gong. 

Wood, felt and metal mallets were used to create standard metal percussion kits. For Iron Throne 2 we created entirely new ambiences, drones and atmospheric pads from the original recordings. This library also contains 20 new user-created effect presets that will instantly inspire your next movie/video game soundtrack or music composition.
