It also includes mid-side and stereo widening functions, a unison mode for an even richer sound than the original, and a carefully curated BX effects section, including a vintage phaser system, SPL EQ Ranger, Waveshaper, and more, giving you a wide range of effects you’ll really want to use.

Lead developer Jonte Knife has been creating vacuum tube-based hardware for mixing, mastering, and sound design for years, earning critical acclaim for both his tube and solid-state designs. His Knifonium has been meticulously crafted to be the best in its class. Brainworx engineers modeled the original hardware’s entire circuitry, including all 26 tubes, using proprietary tolerance modeling technology to recreate the natural variations in envelope parameters, pitch, LFO speed, and more, making this recreation as realistic as possible in terms of analog sound. Jonte confirms that the plugin sounds and performs identically to the original. In his words, “It’s unlike anything else.”
