PSP stereoController2 is designed to manage, configure and restore incorrectly recorded two-channel stereo tracks, as well as to process them in specialized applications or to create cool sound effects.
PSP stereoController2 can be used in various situations
- An unbalanced stereo image due to level differences between channels, such as in stereo recordings with two microphones
- Slight time alignment shift between channels
- The stereo image of the track is too narrow or too wide for mixing
- When the central instrument appears to be shifted to one side
- Virtually simulates the position of an instrument in the sound field using a combination of level and delay changes.
- One or both channels have reverse polarity, or the channels have swapped
- Decoding a mid-range (MS) encoded track to L/R stereo.
- Reducing the stereo width of low frequencies or converting them to mono for proper reproduction by speakers or a subwoofer, or for reliable cutting of vinyl.
- Increasing the stereo width of the high frequencies to produce more ‘airy’ harmonics and spaciousness
- Fine-tuning the stereo image during mastering
