XILS V+ combines a vintage 10-band vocoder, Supreme Top Octave Divider-based strings and human voices, as well as any complex overlays of these three elements.
When XILS V+ launches in less than two weeks, everyone will be able to use the Top Octave Divider (TOD) oscillator and its unique sound, the Ensemble (Chorus) circuit with compression and no less than four Bucket Brigade Delays, Voice and Vocoder vibrato (also based on two other Bucket Brigade Delays), 14 filters for human voices, 3 filters for strings, 40 Vocoder filters, and a sophisticated Attack, Release, and Glide circuit.
TOD: The upper octave divider oscillator delivers a unique sound that cannot be reproduced by any samples or other simple synthesis methods. Emulating the TOD without any aliasing across the entire frequency range, with its pitch and waveform modulation, was a true challenge worthy of XILS-lab. We are very proud of this work and offer it to you for your inspiration and enjoyment.
XILS-lab touch: The XILS V+ wouldn’t be a true XILS-lab device if we didn’t add numerous features and capabilities not found in the original machine. Some of these allow access to the internal circuitry and parameters, while others are completely new.
