Accurate imitation of legendary filters

At the heart of Filter Ark are the filters that have shaped the sound of synthesizers. From the raw drive of the MS-20 and the smooth transitions of the Polysix to the warm richness of the miniKORG 700 and the sharp resonance of the ARP ODYSSEY, all these iconic models are recreated with exceptional accuracy.

Each filter features a unique user interface that allows you to intuitively shape classic tones while maintaining the signature character and response of the instruments that made them legendary.

Filter Ark also introduces a new generation of modern filters. New types include physically modeled resonators and a vowel filter that mimics human vocal formants, significantly expanding creative possibilities compared to classical approaches. These filters encourage experimentation and open up new ways to shape sound, from subtle timbral nuances to expressive and unconventional textures.

Flexible routing with the ability to connect up to four filters

At the heart of Filter Ark is flexible routing. Combine up to four filters in series, parallel, feedback, and other configurations to create signal paths that are simply impossible with conventional filter plug-ins. Whether you’re shaping subtle tonal nuances or creating complex, shifting effects, the routing architecture encourages experimentation and allows for creative expression. The suite also includes pre-built routing templates that serve as a starting point while still allowing for creative control.

Unique and powerful modulation system

Filter Ark features a flexible modulation system designed to add dynamics and expressiveness to your sound. It includes a variable low-frequency oscillator, an envelope generator with a sidechain input, a customizable step sequencer with adjustable steps and playback modes, and a random number generator. Together, these modulation sources make it easy to create shifting textures, rhythmic movements, and dynamic effects that go far beyond static filtering.

Can also be used as a sound generator

In addition to processing the incoming audio signal, Filter Ark can generate sound on its own. A built-in noise generator and frequency-cutoff quantizer allow you to create rhythmic percussion, tonal sequences , and complex soundscapes combined with modulation. This takes Filter Ark beyond the scope of a typical filter plugin, bringing it closer to the expressive capabilities of a full-fledged synthesizer.
