Why Orra EQ Exists

We didn’t set out to create another EQ. We wanted per-frequency control over the entire tone-shaping chain – EQ, saturation, and dynamics – that could be combined as you like, rather than tied to individual plugins.

The traditional approach

Load an EQ to shape the tone. Load a saturator to add color. Load a compressor to adjust the dynamics. Each plugin processes the entire signal before passing it to the next plugin. You can’t adjust the EQ only for high frequencies, the saturator only for mids, and the compressor only for low frequencies in a single chain.

Orra’s Path

Sixteen bands, each with its own mode. EQ one frequency, saturate another, compress a third—in any order. Use a tube saturator after a dynamic cut on the same band, or alternate processing styles across the spectrum.

Any type of saturation can be made dynamic. Dynamic saturation not only adds harmonics but also emphasizes quiet details through harmonic enrichment—similar to compression toward gain, but with color and character preserved, not just gain.

Stop guessing which frequency you need. Enable note snapping, and your groups will adjust to the notes you need—C, F#4, or any other note.

Right-click on any group and select the desired note—C, F#, A, or any other note you need for your song. No more calculating frequencies with a calculator.

Ideal for working with bass notes, reducing resonant frequencies in vocals, or for making your gains match the music.

Orra EQ is a full-featured parametric equalizer: 16 bands, gain from 0.1 to 40, filter slope up to 48 dB/octave and frequency range from 10 Hz to 22 kHz.

High-pass and low-pass filters, band-pass filters, shelves, notches—all the necessary surgical instruments—as well as a real-time spectrum analyzer displaying the results of pre- and post-processing.

Use it as a clean, transparent equalizer when you need it. Then switch the band to saturation or dynamic mode when you need something else. One plugin – no compromises.
