MagnaValve

A free analog tone cascade for creating color, mass and movement.

MagnaValve2 is an unpredictable analog tone stage built on the interaction of tube driver, transformer weight, global supply voltage variations, and minor or major hardware variations.

The tube amplifier section offers three response types, cathode network behavior, gain, symmetry, and response controls to shape harmonic color and transient response. The transformer section adds gain, balance, winding spread, and a choice of core material, allowing the low and mid frequencies to transition from a clean, iron-like sound to a richer, more nuanced tone.

Behind the controls, MagnaValve models the non-static behavior of analog components: program-dependent rolloff, magnetic memory, bias potential offset, component parameter spread, crosstalk, self-noise, and air compensation. These elements change with the signal, rather than remaining as a fixed EQ curve or static waveform, giving the processor a sense of depth and physical response.

Use it sparingly to create coherence and tonality, or push it harder to achieve extreme, noticeable tones from hardware and tube amps. MagnaValve2 is designed to work in the spectrum between pure digital precision and full-blown distortion: color, saturation, and dynamics.

Insert EQ Model 51

The Model 51 EQ is an expressive three-band inductor equalizer designed for bold and musical sound shaping without sacrificing detail. With fixed frequency ranges and a carefully modeled frequency response, it’s easy to use: add weight, bring a source forward, soften harshness, or open up the highs with wide, natural curves that are immediately ready for mixing.

The 51 combines measured frequency and phase response with optional band-dependent saturation, transformer coloration, and a dedicated Drive stage. Choose from the soft transformer character of the “51,” the richer “51 Blue,” or the more pronounced Boosted mode.

The Drive cascade adds density, second-harmonic warmth, and a smooth low-frequency contour, while 4x oversampling ensures smooth nonlinear processing. Stereo Linked, Dual Mono, and Mid/Side modes allow for use on individual tracks, as well as in bus and mastering workflows.

The Component Tolerance feature allows for small, stable differences between instances for more natural analog variability. Three musical EQ bands. Three transformer colors. One fast and flexible path from clean signal shaping to rich analog sound.

Insert EQ 33

Five-band equalizer with clear curves and analog response.

The Insert EQ 33 is a five-band tone-shaping equalizer inspired by fast musical movements, analog response, and a practical mixing workflow. It’s ideal for working with tracks, buses, stems, and the mix bus: broad enough for quick tone adjustments, yet with enough control for more targeted correction when needed.

The plugin features a clean equalizer with predictable curves, as well as an analog mode in which the equalizer operates as a controlled circuit. Input level, band gain, analog mode, amplifier mode, color mode, and transformer mode allow you to choose how clean or dynamic the equalizer should be.

It can remain soft and ‘high’ or become more energetic, dense and responsive as it gets stronger.

Insert Dynamics Lab

Model ’43

Insert Dynamics Lab is a dynamics processor based on a ’43-style compressor. It delivers the sound, movement, and control you expect from a serious mixing tool.

It combines feed-forward and feedback compression, transformer-style saturation, post-compression tape coloration, parallel mixing, sidechain filtering, Mid/Side and Dual Mono modes, and a clear gain reduction meter in a compact interface designed for quick decision making.

Use it for smooth two-band gluing, precise drum control, vocal equalization, bass shaping, or richer compression when you need dynamic control that adds character to the sound without getting in the way.

Insert Tape is a tone-shaping and saturation plugin designed for quickly creating musical effects on tracks, buses, and full mixes.

It allows you to seamlessly transition from subtle harmonic density to a pronounced tape sound with simple level equalization, flexible oversampling, Mid/Side and Dual-Mono modes, and a focused Delta listening mode that lets you hear exactly what the process adds.

At its core, Insert Tape is a tool that allows you to instantly manipulate your signal, shape the tone, balance the level, and continue working. Vintage DSP mode adds a second processing path inspired by classic early digital gear, introducing a graininess and dynamism that sits somewhere between tape processing, the distinctive sound of a converter, and old-school studio circuits.

Crusher is a compact saturation, filtering, and compression plugin that adds warmth, roughness, richness, and controlled destruction to any track.

Crusher is a modern reworking of a legendary old-school effect, combining tube warmth, crunchy gritch, resonant filtering, hefty compression, input drive, output trim, and wet/dry processing into one fast sound-shaping tool.

Use it in gentle mode for added bite and thickness, or in boosted mode for distorted drums, aggressive bass, lo-fi synths, and overdriven parallel effects.
