WHAT SHE DOES

Any sound. Grid cutting, pitch shifting, reversing, echoing. Then the star who turns a take into an idea.

MORPH CONSOLE

Single-panel engine. MORPH sets slice depth, GLIDE slides the pitch between slices. PITCH and CHOP are steps: musical intervals, short or long fragments, or random selection. SYNC snaps the entire map to the host grid.

MORPH MAP

Two bars of sixteenth notes with fractions superimposed on them. Zoom out from two bars to a quarter note. Roll the dice and the map lands on the downbeats; the basket is cleared.

MAP EDITOR

Draw the map yourself. Double-click to add or remove syncopation, drag positions and durations onto the 1/16 grid, set the pitch and repeats, flip the map, and draw the volume of each repeat. The filter and its low-pass generator are on the same screen.

GLITCH SCOPE

CRT screen that displays the input signal and each chop as it occurs, including the pitch and number of repeats at each marker. The output signal is also recorded in WAV format on this screen, and the Magic Star is displayed.

PATCH BAY

Three pedals connected in a specific order. RVRS flips slices before or after chops. ECHO is a delay simulation using worn tape with adjustable speed, feedback, cutoff, and wear. M-STEP drops the bar to an eighth note and slows it down by 2x or 1.5x. Each knob here is an LFO target.

MAGIC

Record anything, hit the star. Rumor finds loud moments, interrupts silence, and creates an accent, phrase, or loop on the grid. Reverse, stutter, sometimes filter or reverb. The last four ideas remain in the story. Drag the file directly into your DAW.

INPUT & OUTPUT

Input gain, output gain, with a bypass meter in between. After the chain: main feed, a gentle safety compressor and a touch of saturation, then the mix knob. Nothing comes out too hot.
