Lemur Audio – SIMON v1.4.32 for WiN

The new version of SIMON adds a mathematically perfect op-amp model from a tube mastering equalizer with three L/R matrix modes: EQUAL – both channels have the same harmonic structure; MODERN – each channel has a slightly different harmonic structure; and VINTAGE – each channel has a clearly different harmonic structure. We’ve also modeled additional nonlinear effects that give the entire system dynamics, liveliness, and musicality, surpassing the hardware original.

A real mastering equalizer

Two independent channels, each with high and low shelves, three fully parametric bands, and its own output control—a full-fledged symmetrical mastering EQ built around the central INPUT TRIM control, which feeds the analog saturation stage. With AGC enabled, the output level of the EQ is adjusted automatically, allowing you to freely equalize without increasing saturation further.

GAIN, Q, and LOW, MID, and HIGH frequency each with its own GAIN, stepped Q, and master-level frequency grid on both channels. Wide, musical bands for shaping tone, and narrow, surgical bands for correcting a single frequency with precise, repeatable response.

A wide high shelf for adding air and weight to the highs, and a low shelf switchable at 50 or 100 Hz for adding warmth and control to the lows – classic, subtle mastering techniques that go beyond parametric bands.

Analog-Style Saturation

The INPUT TRIM knob controls the built-in analog-style saturator—the harder you push it, the more harmonic color and density the SIMON adds. The SAT meter shows in real time how much it’s working, and the OUTPUT knob for each channel lets you adjust the level so you focus on timbre rather than volume.

Link & Mid/Side

Mode Indicators SIMON LINK and M/S

LINK combine the left and right controls for quick, symmetrical stereo adjustments. M/S switches processing from Left/Right to Mid/Side mode, allowing for independent alignment of the center and side stereo channels—mastering-level stereo control.
