Audio Voltage – Cinematic Treatments (OMNISPHERE 3)

Cinematic Treatments is a collection of 100 presets for the FX Rack in Spectrasonics Omnisphere 3, divided into five categories of 20 presets each. The palette of sounds ranges from expansive, deeply reverberant spaces and resonant materials to distorted echo effects, spectral transformations, textural drones, and intimate, unusual acoustic environments.

Use these presets within Omnisphere to transform built-in instruments, or load the standalone FX Rack plug-in into your DAW to process other instruments and audio recordings. Piano, guitar, drums (including keyboard percussion instruments), vocals, and synthesizers each bring their own unique nuances to the treatment, while the original timbre, register, and phrasing are preserved as part of the sound design.

Even a short note can reveal the character of a room, while a sustained tone can create a dynamic, evolving texture. Leave pauses after musical phrases to hear their echoes, or record longer sections, using the resulting build-ups and sound elements in your arrangement.

Enormous Spaces

Scale, distance, and fading echoes. Spacious processing allows individual notes and open chords to shine, transforming the space around the instrument into part of the composition.

Resonating Materials

Ringing objects, metallic tones, and unusual surfaces. Plucked sounds, hammer strikes, and short percussive pulses emphasize the relationship between the source’s attack and the resulting resonance.

Ruined Atmospheres

Worn textures, imperfect echoes, and traces of memory. Give a melody, voice, or a restrained rhythm a vintage feel, or use processed fragments to create a background atmosphere.

Spectral Landscapes

Shifting timbres, unusual voices, and shifted harmonics. Explore how simple notes, open intervals, and rich sound sources reveal different nuances with the same processing.

Impossible Worlds

Textural drones and imaginary acoustics. This category ranges from elongated soundscapes to intimate, strange spaces, combining confined spaces and unusual reflections with larger-scale textures.

These tools are designed for film scores, ambient music, and experimental sound design. Adjust the overall mix to position the processed signal behind the original sound or bring it to the forefront, making it the main element of the composition. Each preset is editable in Omnisphere’s built-in effects system.
