Master Tones offers an analog saturation and equalizer plugin based on British Kolorizer (worth $ 149).
The plugin is based on a British tube amplifier and uses Master Tones’ “Ariosa” analog modeling technology.
British Kolorizer: the debut of Ariosa technology. Instead of modeling individual components of an analog circuit, the Ariosa engine (and similar technologies) analyzes the sound output of analog equipment to simulate its characteristics in the digital realm.
Ariosa, our core analog modeling engine, combines several advanced concepts in the field of modern artificial intelligence (AI), including differentiable digital signal processing (DDSP), machine learning (ML) and deep neural networks (DLs). Using the capabilities of artificial intelligence, Ariosa not only accurately simulates the target analog machine, without knowing explicitly the schematic diagram, but also accurately determines its characteristics. British Kolorizer uses internal oversampling (96 kHz) with minimal latency and fairly low CPU consumption.
British Kolorizer (BK), the first plugin from Ariosa, is designed to digitize and optimize the uk analog tube amplifier. Instead of analyzing the circuitry, Ariosa was trained to directly adjust the audio output of analog equipment. When modeling an amplifier, an important feature is the degree of coloring depending on the level of the input signal, which makes the sound more diverse in timbre. To do this, the input speaker for training is carefully designed.
Fat and Brightness knobs are designed to color sound, but target different frequency ranges. Raising the Fat handle increases the low frequencies, which brings warmth and richness to the music; when the brightness control value increases, the higher frequencies will be more colored, which creates a feeling of lightness. The combination of the two regulators is fully discretized, allowing BK to more accurately mimic the behavior of a British tube amplifier.
Ariosa is a new analog modeling technology based on AI. This main engine has high fidelity and preserves the characteristics of the equipment. We also optimize computing performance and reduce latency so that the plugin is available on a regular laptop. British Kolorizer is the first product modeled by Ariosa. Quantification demonstrates the success of accurate simulation of tube amplifiers.
British Kolorizer, or BK for short, takes sound to a whole new level – from vintage to luxurious! The magnificent sound of tomorrow comes to you today! BK provides a dramatic ultra-modern advantage of artificial intelligence!
