Sidechain Frequency Reduction | Most people use sidechain compression to suppress a signal, which reduces the volume of the entire signal. Orra Ducker suppresses only those frequencies that actually intersect, from any track in any DAW. And with Orra Link, sidechain routing is built right into the plugin, so feeding a signal to multiple instances from different sources follows the same simple algorithm in any DAW.

• Spectral signal reduction for each frequency bin in approximately 1000 frequency bins, rather than wide-band mode.
• Draw a focus band, direct the “duck” to only the low frequencies, the harsh midrange, or the entire frequency range.

• Spectral Engine: 2048-point FFT, Hann window, 75% overlap, ~1000 bins
• Per-bin gain detection and calculation in HQ/Balanced/Fast modes
• Real-time: Wideband envelope suppressor (single-band, no FFT)
• Stereo detection with adjustable channel combination (0–100%)
• Smoothed focal band (half-octave transition at each edge)

• Threshold from -60 to 0 dB, Ratio from 1:1 to 100:1
• Attack 0.1–100 ms, Delay 10–1000 ms
• Resolution 0.1–10, Low/High Pass Filter 20 Hz–20 kHz

Sidechain and routing

• Three trigger sources: None (self-activated key), External (DAW), Link 1–36
• Orra Link companion: 36 sidechain channels for cross-DAW operation, included
• Place a separate instance of each source on a single track.

Delay and formats

• HQ 2048 (~43ms) / Balanced 1024 (~21ms) / Fast 512 (~11ms) / Live 0, @ 48k. Connecting the source via Orra Link adds approximately 5ms.
• In all modes, PDC; the link source adds one host block.
