Output – Portal v1.2.1

Output’s Portal is a granular effects plugin that has been making waves in the music production community since its release in 2019. It is a software instrument that allows users to transform audio signals into unique and otherworldly textures and soundscapes, with a range of granular processing algorithms and creative modulation options.

Portal is a granular synthesizer that breaks down audio signals into tiny grains and manipulates them in various ways. The plugin offers a range of granular processing modes, including time stretching, pitch shifting, grain delay, and spectral shifting. These modes can be used individually or in combination, allowing users to create complex and evolving textures and rhythms.

Its modulation section, offers a range of creative tools for shaping and animating the sound. There are four LFOs and four sequencers available, which can be used to modulate various parameters of the plugin, including the grain size, pitch, pan, and more. The modulation sources can be synced to the host tempo or used in free mode, allowing users to create complex and evolving patterns and rhythms.

Its intuitive user interface is designed to encourage experimentation and creative exploration. The plugin features a visual waveform display that shows the incoming audio signal, as well as a range of controls for adjusting the granular processing parameters and modulation options. The interface is easy to navigate and offers plenty of options for customizing the sound.

Portal also includes a range of effects and filters that can be used to further shape and color the sound. There are nine effects available, including reverb, delay, distortion, and more, as well as a range of filter types and envelope controls.

Output’s Portal is a powerful and versatile effects plugin that offers a range of granular processing algorithms and creative modulation options. Its intuitive user interface and wide range of controls make it easy to create unique and otherworldly textures and soundscapes, while its effects and filters offer plenty of options for further shaping and coloring the sound.
