Character
Control GLUE changes the behavior of the compressor’s detector and processor. When set to 0%, the presser will act as a fast peak compressor, taming the transients. At 100% compression, the model will behave like a classic bus compressor, delivering more consistent changes and a smoother sound.
– Use the punch dial to input transient punch with the built-in dynamic EQ. Beats, traps, basslines and more can be made sharper and tighter with this control.
– HEAT adds richness to the analog style both before and after the compressor, introducing harmonics and sonic artifacts. Adjust the scale from subtle warmth to harsh overdrive.
Detector
The CHANNEL LINK switch allows you to select whether the stereo channels are processed independently or together. This feature gives you more control over how the compressor works, allowing for slightly different processing on each channel or maintaining a stereo image.
– HIGH-PASS controls the frequency of the high pass filter for detection. This helps to reduce the unwanted pumping effect at more delicate compression settings.
– This is a common method of side-linking a compressor to another audio trigger. Of course, we had to include it in the pressing machine, but with a special twist. The variable control can be set to any level from 0% (normal compression) to 100% (sidechain input only), which creates some creative possibilities for the sidechain.

With all the compressor controls you know and love, Presser is the first compressor plugin you should be running. Along with Aiden Kenway’s innovative additions, it has all the basic compression options you need for everyday use. This makes the Presser a versatile and powerful tool for shaping the dynamic range of a wide range of different types of sounds. The ratio, threshold, attack, release, and boost controls are all present and working correctly, allowing you to fine-tune the compressor’s performance to suit your signal’s needs and your desired creative effect.
Input, Output, Mixing, Bypass, and Limiter
Choose how the compressed signal is mixed with your original raw sound using the mix ratio control, allowing you to switch wet/dry mode for side-by-side compression effects. Press the LIMITER button to limit the output of the plugin. Apply more signal to the limiter using the output setting, which will result in more clipping and a louder result. BYPASS control is smoothed out to be as free of clicks and pops as possible for seamless A/B testing.
Visual Feedback
Real-time visual effects of interface counters show exactly what happens to the signal as it goes through the compression steps. This allows precise control at every stage of the chain.
Presets
With a variety of artist-created presets included, it’s easy to find the perfect starting point for your compression session. Named and categorized, these presets can be applied to all kinds of audio and include everything from subtle shaping to more complex chains with heavily processed compression effects.
