PSP 2445 EMT is a reverb plug-in processor inspired by two legendary reverbs from the early digital era: the EMT® 244 and the EMT® 245. PSP has carefully studied how to bring the features of these simple, yet very musical reverbs to life in plug-in form.
We then enhanced them by adding a convenient set of parameters for controlling sound detail and reverb mixing, which was unavailable in the original hardware. The PSP 2445 can run either one of the selected engines or both simultaneously.
The reverb algorithms implemented in the PSP 2445 are based on original algorithms developed by Dr. Barry Blesser (one of the founders of the digital audio revolution). Thanks to Dr. Barry’s extensive consultations and support, our algorithms sound as good as the originals, and the plugin has been officially endorsed by EMT Studiotechnik GmbH.
