Quantastical Sound – Corridor v1.22.0 for WiN

CORRIDOR | A network of rooms that flow into each other. Instead of a single space, there are several simultaneously, connected by corridors through which sound propagates. Each room has its own size and content, and you yourself place them in the center of the screen.

Backstory

When I was recording Hurts Happiness, the studio I rented had an entire floor of large, empty concrete hallways and empty rooms. I’d set up a cheap portable tape recorder in various places and sing vocal overdubs, recording them in wet mode. It sounded fantastic. Ever since, I’ve wanted to create a plugin that would do the same.

So, instead of a single algorithm modeling a single space, you find yourself at the center of several interconnected rooms, and sound propagates between them through resonant corridors. Hence the name.

This is an engine that was previously part of STRÄNG, now it runs on its own and with a lot more customization.
