Soniccouture – Threnody Strings 1.2.0

Threnody Strings features samples from a large string section (60 musicians) using a wide range of avant-garde techniques: col lenho clicks, clusters, dense sound layers and glissandos. It is precisely these experimental techniques, which transform the orchestra into a living, changing soundscape, that are traditionally used to create soundtracks for science fiction and horror.

Threnody Strings features 26 unique articulations recorded for the full orchestral range. These can be freely combined and layered using the XY controller, opening up endless possibilities for creating entirely new orchestral timbres and seamless sonic transformations.
