Sample library for the Hauptwerk organ emulator
The modern instrument, located in the Dome Cathedral in the Dutch city of Utrecht, combines parts of an old organ from the Renaissance period by master Pieter Janszoon de Swart. Of this famous instrument, 11 registers remain: 6 in the Rugwerk, 3 in the Bovenwerk and 2 in the pedal.
Organ builder Jonathan Betz, one of the leading builders during the 18th and 18th centuries, built a completely new instrument, which is in the church today, using the remaining pipes from the old organ. The new organ was built in the style of the 18th century Netherlands, with a small number of aliquots, but high enough for romanticism mixtures. The body of the organ is made in the neoclassical style, with elements of Gothic in the ornaments.
The modern instrument has 50 registers, 3 manuals, a pedal, a channel of 3 manuals.
