The library contains a selection of the most elusive contemporary string sounds, only before heard in live recorded scores. Like Polybend Legato, Temposynced Bends and slow connected Detaches. These are not your typical one shot performances, but highly playable and adaptable patches that allow you to blend these techniques into your compositions seamlessly and write completely original arrangements using these playing techniques.
What Stays The Same
Perform expressive phrases while freely changing notes. The original dynamic flow and natural vibrato progression adapt and are preserved – without intensive MIDI CC programming.
Our non-layered approach captures the transparency of a real recorded performance. No artificial “stacked” ensemble sound— a three-note chord with a cello sounds like three celli performing together.
Different tempi require different performance styles, which are automatically selected by each patch. Time Signature Support – The sample pool gets adjusted by the Time Signature in your sequencer.

You must give a digit code
Instructions are to login to your account to enter the response code on the screen. Then you get a 12 digit code emailed to you to enter on the screen to finish the registration. I don’t have or want to give them my email address for obvious reasons. Attached is screen shot

I gave up and bought it!
Create a folder in C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local and name it :String Contours 2. Then copy the Data folder with this file (X3_O8_s5.nka) located in the String Contours 2 folder and paste it into the created String Contours 2 folder in C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local folder. Add it to Kontakt Library and voilà!
I tried and is not working
1 Go to :C:\Users\Public\Documents\Native Instruments\installed_products and see if String Contours 2 is registered. Delete it(It’s a .json file)
2 Open your register editor and search in these two locations for String Contours 2.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Native Instruments
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments
delete those folders from String Contours 2
3 Try again to register String Contours 2 by using the add library. exe or the Kontakt button.
4 Check if you did’nt misspell the created folder in LocalAppdata. The name should be String Contours 2 and within should be the pasted data folder containing X3_O8_s5.nka

Well, then it gets difficult. I sincerely hope you followed the instructions correctly. You can try going to: “C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center\String Contours 2.xml” and deleting the XML file. Also delete the String Contours folders in your registry and also in: installed products. Cut and paste the entire String Contours 2 folder from that library and paste it into LocalAppData. First delete the folder you already created. Then add String Contours to your library again. Good luck!

By default, the library requires a 12-digit code. To prevent this, move the String Contours 2 folder in the root distribution folder to a directory that matches your criteria.
