Free Download Synapse Audio Obsession for Windows. Obsession is a powerful emulation of a vintage synthesizer. At its core, it uses a classic synth design consisting of two oscillators, a switchable two/four-pole low-pass filter, two ADSR envelope generators, and two LFOs carefully modeled from hardware.
A comprehensive modulation matrix, two-step controls for powerful rhythm sequences, and a high-quality effects chain greatly enhance the instrument’s versatility. Two sections with Single/Dual/Split modes offer additional creative space for experienced sound engineers.
Individual voice control is perhaps the most important feature of Obsession. Each voice board can be noticeably different from the others in many ways, creating that organic, live sound that vintage analog polysynths are famous for.
The rear panel of the Obsession gives access to the high-quality effects section, modulation matrix, as well as CV connectors and audio inputs + outputs. High-quality reverb with an added Shimmer effect takes pads, leads and ambiance to a new dimension. Stereo delay as well as a chorus/ensemble effect can be applied to further enhance it.
Version 1.2
We have updated Obsession to version 1.2. This update adds the patch browser and Genetics function first introduced in DUNE 3.5. The Genetics function creates new patches out of existing ones, a very useful tool to obtain sound variations or entirely new sounds.
Furthermore, the factory library has been increased to 500 patches, and new modulation targets added for part A/B allow for more sophisticated sound design for the Dual and Split modes.
