In fact, it’s one of the few electric pianos that has stood the test of time and remains as relevant today as when it was first introduced in the 1950s. We are, of course, talking about the timeless Wurly.

This EKX for EZkeys 2 is a meticulously preserved and restored instrument from the mid-1970s. It was recorded both via a direct input (DI) and a vintage combo amp using a ribbon microphone, giving you two completely contrasting tones. A comprehensive set of presets blends these tones and enriches them with a variety of effects, ranging from the instrument’s own tremolo to chorus, reverb, distortion, and modeled amps. 

For even more sonic variety and richness, several presets include subtly intertwined layers of synthesized brass, bells, and atmospheric sounds. Expect a full tonal range: from bone-dry and intimate to warm, smoky, rough, fat, and grainy. If you’re looking for a timeless vintage vibe, this EKX is for you.
