We’ve taken into account all the feedback from our customers over the past 3 years, completely updating the plugin and adding many additional features.

All-New Modes and Styles

MIDI Wizard 2.0 now features three main modes, each with two styles. Chord mode lets you create incredible chord progressions, both in block and rhythm formats. Melody mode lets you create melody top lines as long leads or short passages. Hybrid mode takes things to the next level, combining chord/melody algorithms and artificial intelligence to produce truly mind-blowing results.

Completely redesigned algorithms

While the algorithms in version 1.0 were incredibly complex and far ahead of their time three years ago, our team has grown significantly since then, and our skills have reached new levels of mastery. At Unison, we’re perfectionists, so we scrapped everything and started from scratch. We’ve completely redesigned the chord progression and melody generation algorithms for each of the 32 genres. We’ve also developed entirely new algorithms using artificial intelligence for a completely new hybrid mode.

Built-in Synthesizer, Sampler + 200 Factory Presets

MIDI Wizard 2.0 features a built-in world-class synthesizer with 200 factory presets, as well as a sound sampler. Every time you press “Generate,” a synth preset will be loaded to match your genre, complementing any chord progression or MIDI melody. All presets are equipped with macros, so you can easily customize the sound to your liking. You can also browse through different presets, mix and match them to suit your preferences. The sampler also lets you drag and drop your favorite passages to instantly use them in generated chord progressions and melodies.

16 Built-in Effects

With MIDI Wizard 2.0, you also get 16 world-class built-in effects that will make your chord progressions and melodies truly world-class. These fully customizable effects give you the ability to saturate, distort, spatialize, or impart a unique character to your chords and melodies.

Chord progression recognition using artificial intelligence

As if the generation algorithm wasn’t crazy enough, MIDI Wizard 2.0 also uses artificial intelligence to detect existing chord progressions and create matching melodies for them. All you need to do is drag and drop a MIDI chord progression, and MIDI Wizard 2.0 will detect it. This way, your melody will perfectly match the root notes of the chords. Or, you can also use pre-made chord progressions.

These additional features include velocity sensitivity and sweep for more human-sounding chord progressions/melody sequences on demand. Chord progressions with labels for studying or simply understanding exactly what’s going on. And finally, the ability to drag and drop or export as audio files, not just MIDI.
