Wrongtools – Bone Chain (KONTAKT)

Recorded using tapes, amps and vintage equipment to avoid the typical digital or harsh feel associated with horn synths.

Why did we create this library of wind synths, you ask? We composed jingles for Euro 2024 and also wrote music for a new comedy series for television. Both projects required a fresh, modern horn sound. What’s the catch? While the melodies were kind of catchy… Mixing synths and horns with acoustic arrangements turned out to be more difficult than calming a cat in a yarn store.

We started recording our favorite horn patches using an eclectic mix of outboard gear and amps. One thing led to another, and voila – a new Kontakt library was formed.
