Slate Digital Submerge is an automatic sidechain compressor plugin designed to create dynamic ducking and pumping effects popular in electronic music, hip-hop, and other genres.
It simplifies the process of setting up a sidechain without requiring complex routing in your DAW.
Key Features
- Three trigger modes: automatic (syncs to the project tempo), MIDI or audio (responds to an external signal, such as a kick drum).
- Eight built-in effects: from filters (high- and low-pass) to sample rate reduction, allowing you to create unique textures and rhythmic movements.
- Three types of processing curves: “natural” for a soft effect, “extreme” for a powerful pump, and “special” for creative experiments.
- Invert curve: by holding the Shift key, you can turn the ducking effect into a “pushing” (boosting instead of suppressing).
- Mid/Side Support: Allows separate processing of the center and side channels for more accurate stereo imaging.
- Intuitive controls: Threshold (threshold), Speed (curve speed), Morph (attack/decay time control), Depth (effect depth) and Tweak (fine-tuning the effect).
Submerge is perfect for adding rhythmic pulse, highlighting drums, or creating creative sonic textures.
