Overview of Acustica Ruby 2:
Ruby 2 is an exact reproduction of the highly sought-after VT-5 vacuum tube equalizer from DW Fearn and is officially approved by Fearn himself. The original hardware equalizer uses a passive LC circuit with class A triode vacuum tube stages at the input and output. The input transformer is made by Jensen, and the output stage uses the same Jensen transformer used in the VT-1/VT-2 mic preamps.

- Low Cut: Choose from 30, 40, 100, or 400 Hz, with an adjustable shelving range from 0 to -18 dB.
- Low Boost: 20, 40, 60 or 140 Hz, from 0 to 16 dB shelving.
- Mid Cut: Select frequencies at 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, or 700 Hz, with an adjustable range from 0 to -16 dB.
- High Boost: Boosts at 1.5, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 12, or 16 kHz, ranging from 0 to 12 dB. The Q bandwidth is adjustable at 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, 1.4, or 1.7.
- High Cut: Fine-tune high frequencies at 1.5, 3.5, 8, or 28 kHz, with a shelving range from 0 to -14 dB.
