Big Loader is a universal IR reverb loader. Load a plate, spring, hall, or room you’ve recorded yourself, then shape it to fit your mix without leaving the plugin. Cut and stretch the impulse, adjust decay and damping, balance early reflections and the reverb tail, and then refine the reverb with width, a four-band EQ, chorus, drive, ducking, and gate. The built-in browser gives you one-click access to your entire impulse response library.

What does Big Loader do with the pulse after it is loaded?

Any impulse signal is level-aligned on loading, so you can listen to the entire folder without having to adjust the fader.

Change the space itself

DECAY lengthens or shortens the reverberation relative to the impulse’s decay without changing its pitch. HIGH DECAY dampens high frequencies, like soft materials in a real room. STRETCH changes the size of the entire space, while the pitch changes as if on a variable-speed tape.

Early reflections and the “tail” are separated from each other

SPLIT determines where the early reflections end and the “tail” begins. EARLY and LATE allow you to adjust the level of each, so the hall can become denser, and the room can become free of walls and simply blossom.

Trim, Delay, Reverse

Drag the tabs on the waveform to trim the beginning or end of the impulse. PRE DELAY delays the reverb by up to half a second to preserve the purity of the original signal, and REV plays the impulse in reverse for reversed waves.

Width and EQ are for reverb only

WIDTH narrows the reverb to a monophonic sound or widens it, while a four-band EQ with bell, shelf, and cut shapes removes mud and hiss in the tail. Neither effect affects the dry signal.

Chorus and Drive, Before or After

A polyphonic chorus that wanders rather than glides, and a tube-driven drive that transitions from warmth to outright distortion. Place either before the IR to add reverb to a moving or rich source, or after it to work on the reverb itself.

Ducking and Gate

DUCK dampens reverb during dry signal playback and allows it to build up during pauses. The gate opens on the dry input and holds for a set time, creating a classic gated drum sound.

Zero Latency When You Need It

LOW LAT operates with no latency at all, allowing you to use reverb for tracking and live performance. HI-QUAL is an effective mixing tool that communicates latency to the host so everything stays in sync.

Your library is just a click away

The built-in browser lets you store IR folders next to the plugin, using search, tags, and favorites, as well as four factory IRs to get you started. The impulse response is saved in your session, so projects open with the desired reverb on any computer.
