Kit is recorded with 4 microphones using the famous Glyn Johns technique. Each kit element has a specific blend of all four mics exported in a single sample, to get the best possible element sound.
This means that you cannot control each mic per element separately in processing. This approach has limitations but gives you an extremely fast workflow because you have a mixer with a fader per element. In short, this approach gives you the most optimal and efficient workflow with quick results.
All elements are sampled in 7 round robins. Dynamic layers vary, depending on the element.
For example, a snare has 7 dynamic layers, a kick has 6 and toms have 5. We tried to reach the perfect balance between instrument size, natural sound and effective workflow.
