iZotope, a leader in digital audio signal processing, and T-Pain have joined forces to create The T-Pain Effects. A collection of musical instruments designed to enable everyone to make music.
Users will be able to create beats and record vocals with the characteristic sound of T-Pain itself.
At the heart of The T-Pain Effects is The T-Pain Engine, a standalone rhythm and vocal recording application for PC and Mac. Aspiring artists can get started right away by choosing from over 50 professionally designed song templates made up of hundreds of T-Pain-approved rhythms. Once a background track is created, the user can sing, rap or speak over one or two vocal tracks to record a song with ease. The beat and arrangement of the song can be changed, and the vocals can be edited, including by punching for re-listening. To add color to vocals, the user can add T-Pain Effects to vocal tracks, adjusting the hardness and softness controls to achieve the desired sound. Then, after adjusting the levels of the final mix, “We are very proud to be partnering with T-Pain to develop and develop the world’s first signature vocal effect,” says Alex Westner, director of business development for iZotope. “As an influential and tech-savvy GRAMMY®-winning artist and producer, T-Pain has captured the attention of hip-hop, pop, dance and electronic musicians around the world with his unique vocal style.”
In addition to the standalone T-Pain Engine, the product includes The T-Pain Effects VST, AU and RTAS plugins for use in popular digital audio systems (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, GarageBand, Cubase, SONAR, Logic and many more. others. The plugin is a professional tool designed for music studios, and includes real-time monitoring through the host program, hardness/softness controls for adjusting the sound, as well as scale presets for matching the tone of the composition. Advanced users can also create their own scale presets using the built-in keyboard or MIDI controller.
The product also includes iDrum: T-Pain Edition – a virtual drum machine that includes hundreds of custom rhythms from various musical genres, created from over 50 new T-Pain iDrum kits with completely new samples. Using iDrum: T-Pain Edition as a standalone application or as a plug-in, users can compose rhythms into songs, create new kits and patterns, import their own samples, and edit samples with effects such as pitch, filter, and decay. The iDrum T-Pain Edition is fully compatible with other materials from iZotope’s various iDrum versions.
